Planning your wedding outfit can be quite a task! So we compiled a set of our favorite wedding wear, of course inspired by Bollywood. Check out our wedding inspiration – Bollywood Style Lehenga, Sarees and lots more!
Dia Mirza in a purple gota work lehenga
This outfit was worn by Dia Mirza in her sangeet. We love the color – a stunning royal purple. Not many people are comfortable choosing this kind of a bright color for their wedding but we think its stunning. The gold gota work looks excellent. The choli is a nice gold and we like the way Dia has draped the dupatta. We totally recommend this color for sure; probably not for the main bridal even, but for a reception / engagement for sure.
Nargis Fakhri in a heavy red lehenga
This was showcased in Lakme Fashion Week that happened earlier this year. A beautiful red lehenga with very intricate gold and silver work, all over. This one is for the bride who wants a spectacularly heavy bridal look. Team this up with a stunning kundan set or a traditional gold neckpiece for that royal bridal look.
Amy Jackson in a pink net lehenga
This is from the Lakme Fashion Week that happened very recently. Net lehengas look extremely stylish, yet graceful. We love this subtle pink color – beautifully understated! The key focus of the lehenga is the gherav or the flare towards the bottom. The soft gold work looks nice too. If you like a simple bridal look, then we recommend using this color for your bridal outfit. You could probably go more traditional with the choli or the top.
Esha Gupta in a fuschia saree
Fuschia is a popular bridal color. If you are the type who loves a saree, then you should totally tailor your look on this. A bright fuschia saree, with a contrasting blouse in green, black and gold and heavy gold jewellery. We totally recommend this look for your reception if you are looking to experiment with a saree on your big day.
Nimrat Kaur in a red embroidered lehenga
This one is again from the Lakme Fashion Week. This beautiful deep red lehenga, with gold embroidery makes for great bridal wear. All you need is a gold dupatta with beautiful latkans and you are set. We totally recommend this as your bridal outfit. Traditional and classy!
This is only the first part of our Bollywood inspired Bridal wear. Let us know how you like it and also which is your favorite. We’ll be doing a part two in this segment as well. So stay tuned for that.
