Diwali Skincare – Pamper Routine

Everyday life can be quite busy leaving extremely little time for yourself. So if you are not able to make time for an elaborate facial pre Diwali, then check out our quick Diwali skincare for healthy, glowing skin. This is a pamper routine that you can do at home. So let’s get started!

You don’t need to worry about special tools, or things that you will need for this pamper routine. We have listed out our recommendations for you below. Use any of these, or any other tried and testing product that you like. We recommend doing this routine 1/2 days before Diwali and preferably at night so that you wake up even more beautiful.

Cleansing with a cleanser

Using a face scrub

Step 3

Placing a warm towel on the face

Step 4

Washing off the face with a foaming face wash

Step 5

Using some Rose Water as a toner

Step 6

Applying an overnight mask and sleeping with it. Wash off the next day when you wake up.

Step 1

Cleanse your skin. Use a cream/lotion cleanser and gently massage it into your skin. If you have any makeup on then make sure you remove that out with the help of a makeup remover. Jut give yourself a mini massage while cleansing – Start with the forehead, massage your undereyes very lightly with your ring finger, massage your cheeks using circular motion with your finger tips, give your nose a light rub, massage the neck area with upward strokes. This is a great product for anyone with sensitive skin or anyone who has acne. Take the day off by Clinique comes in a balm form and you need very little to be applied on the face. This also takes off makeup. It’s priced at Rs.4600 making it an expensive purchase. But this jar should last you at least about 2 years.

This is another great cleanser and quite affordable too. It’s suitable for all skin types. The Himalaya Refreshing Cleansing Milk is priced at Rs.160.

Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser

This cleanser is great if you have sensitive or overly dry skin. It provides moisture, is soap free and hypoallergenic. It’s priced at Rs.1400.

Step 2

Now you need to scrub off all dead skin cells. For this you need a facial scrub. Just massage the scrub for about a minute into your skin. Check out the one’s we recommend below:

Step 3

With the scrub still on your face, take a towel and dip it in warm water and place it on your face. It should be bearable; do check how hot it is so that you don’t end up burning your face. Repeat this about 2-3 times. If you have black heads then just rub the warm towel a little bit on your nose.

Step 4

Now that you have steamed off the impurities of your face, lets do another round of deep cleansing. But this time with a foaming face wash. Just use a facewash and pat dry your skin. Try using cold water while washing your face so that you naturally close the pores. Check out the face washed we recommend:

This is another great drugstore option. Priced at Rs.69 this is another great facewash which is soothing and basically suitable for all skin types.

Step 5

After patting your face dry, it’s time to use a toner. And we recommend using Rose Water as this is suitable for all skin types and also gives a good glow. Our Rose Water recommendations are:

Step 6

Now the last step. You need to use an overnight face mask. We recommend the use of an overnight mask 1-2 days before any special occasion. These masks work while you are resting, and provide the necessary nourishment to skin. The overnight masks we recommend are:
