Essie Angora Cardi Review, Swatches

Essie Angora Cardi
The American drugstore isles are so neatly organized! While passing one of these, I came across Essie nail polishes and I already knew that I had to have one. So after going through so many shades, I picked one – The Essie Angora Cardi. I recently tried it on and it seems to be a very appropriate shade for fall.

Review – Essie Angora Cardi

Essie Angora Cardi

The Essie Angora Cardi is a beautiful plummy shade and is almost perfect for fall. It was in the fall 2009 collection and honestly, still stays relevant.

This is how the shade looks. I have applied 2 coats, without any top or base coat so that you can see exactly how it looks. The light is natural and I haven’t use any flash while clicking pictures.

Lasting Power

This is my first experience with any Essie nailpolish. The polish lasts for about 4 days and starts to chip thereafter. Without a top coat and base coat is lasts this long. Honestly for any drugstore nail polish I think that’s a fair time to stay.

It comes in the signature Essie bottle with a white cap and Essie printed and embossed on either sides. The Essie bottles though have now changed but I found this shade in the older range. The brush is really fine and slender and makes for very neat and precise application.

I found the Essie Angora Cardi for 9$. It is available on Amazon India for an obnoxious Rs.1500+ (at the time of writing this post).

If you are able to get it for the actual M.R.P i.e. 9$ or lesser then it’s alright. Otherwise don’t bother.

The shade is perfect for this season. It’s a beautiful mauvey-browney-plum shade and looks lovely on Indian skin.
