Review – Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor
Revlon has come up with a new collection of liquid lipsticks and we could not resist buying. Read on to find out our thoughts about the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor.
The range is called Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor and it consists of 16 beautiful shades (mostly pinks). It claims to have lightweight, high definition and velvety matte texture and 100% wax-free gel formula.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor is packaged in a rounded rectangular bottle with a twist and open lid. The lid has an attached applicator like any other liquid lipstick. Although the bottle does stand on its own (vertically), we would recommend keeping it lying on the surface (horizontally). The bottle is sort of wobbly which is a slight downer.
Yet the packaging is quite attractive and catchy and the little protective red pouch that comes along with it is cute.
The applicator picks up product well and enables smooth application. Its spade shade helps in reaching the corners of the lips really well and also helps in the application of product on very thin lips.
Although I did go over with a lip brush to fix the edges.
Price- Rs. 1,195

The shade we that we picked is ‘HD Flirtation’ which is a beautiful corally-pink color. To check out the other shades click here.
The product has a yummy fruity-vanilla fragrance.
Texture, Finish & Lasting Power
The lipstick is not completely matte. It sort of has a creamy matte texture. When freshly applied, the lipstick is quite liquidy and does move around or transfer to a glass or come off while you eat.
In about 20 to 30 minutes the lipstick becomes slightly more matte and stops moving around and transferring.
Post 30 minutes the lipstick stays put for a good 6 to 7 hours. After 6 hours the lipstick does become slightly less intense, however the color stays intact and no touch-ups are required.
The lipstick is quite opaque. In 1 to 2 coats the lipstick manages to cover any flaws and give uniform color all over the lips.
The variety and kind of shades are excellent in the range.
It is a comfortable matte lip product and can be worn by someone with dry lips too.
Once dry, it lasts for a long time.
The lipstick is color intense and has an opaque finish.
The lipstick is a bit pricey.
It takes a long time to dry.
It transfers a lot in the first 20 to 30 minutes.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor is definitely cheaper than high-end liquid lipsticks yet more expensive than some other liquid lipsticks.
This product is slightly more creamier than creamy matte textures that I have seen in other lip products that I have used. After using a texture like this, I feel I prefer more matte textures in liquid lipsticks.
The shades in the range , no doubt, are beautiful and most of them suit all kinds of skin tones.
So if you are a person who loves the shades or the creamy matte texture or both, go for the product. Matte texture lovers can wait this one out.
