Wedding lehengas are something that every bride spends a lot of time, effort and money on.
But increasingly, brides want a more subtle, elegant look for their D-day. So here are a few wedding lehengas best suited for the modern Indian bride. Most of these have been worn by our favorite celebrities.
Anushka Sharma’s soft pastel bridal look.

One of our most loved bridal looks of all time is Anushka Sharma’s wedding look. The beautiful pale pink lehenga with silver and gold embroidery and the soft pink and yellow rose garlands looked too pretty to describe. And the jewellery was elegant yet had that traditional bridal feel. If you love this look, then look for wedding lehengas in a beautiful soft pink shade and with subtle embroidery. And a gorgeous net dupatta with it to go with the overall look.

Asin’s all gold bridal lehenga.

This all gold look is something we’re totally digging. Firstly it’s such a classic look. It’s been a while since Asin got married but this lehenga would look good even today. And we also love that it’s a beautiful subtle shade of gold and not something too blingy. And the colored border does add a good contrast. In terms of jewellery, Asin is wearing a beautiful set which complements the gold lehenga.
Neha Dhupia’s pink lehenga.

This soft pink bridal look is perfect for the modern Indian bride who wants to keep her look minimal and chic. I absolutely loved the baby pink shade of the lehenga and it’s something that suits all skin tones. The lehenga has silver motifs and and really pretty latkans on the edge of the dupatta. I love that she had a touch of green in her jewellery – it added a slight element of another color to the overall soft look. Even the makeup focused on dewy healthy looking skin.

Sonam’s quintessentially bridal look.
The perfect inspiration for the bride that wants to go traditional. Sonam Kapoor’s red and gold look is nothing short of the perfection. We love the shade of red – a beautiful deep vermillion and the gold zari and motifs add that elegant touch. This is a pretty heavy look in itself but if you want that full on India bridal look, then this is your perfect inspiration.

Priyanka Chopra’s all red bridal look.
This beautiful shimmery red lehenga stands out for me for the simple reason that it’s all red. It’s the perfect blend of a traditional and modern Indian look. We love the use of lace, net, sequins and shimmer and I feel that it’s something that can be a trend in itself. Usually there will be a hint of a contrasting element, but this color blocking bridal look is something that we don’t mind seeing more often.
