Winter Skin Care: Lazy Hacks

Our normal skincare routine needs to be tweaked a little to adjust to the winters. In this post we’ll show you how you can tweak yours too with minimal effort. Check out some lazy hacks for winter skin care.

DIY Moisturizing Face Pack

Don’t have the time to follow a Cleansing-Toning-Moisturizing routine? We have a solution this. We’d like to call it the ‘DIY Moisturizing Face Pack’. All you’ll need is;

  • 1 tablespoon Gram Flour or Besan – Good base for the pack. Helps in reducing facial hair too.
  • A pinch of Turmeric or Haldi Powder – Brings glow and has anti-septic properties too.
  • A pinch of Sandalwood Powder – Keeps pimples away.
  • A few drops of Raw Milk – Acts as a natural cleanser. Helps de-tan too.
  • A few drops of Honey – Provides moisture. Helps reduce appearance of acne scars.
  • A few drops of Rose Water – Natural toner.

Mix these ingredients together in a bowl. The consistency of the pack should be like a thick paste.

In case you feel the pack is too dry then add some more milk and honey.

How to apply: Get rid off all the makeup on your face and cleanse your face thoroughly with a face wash. Apply the face pack with a brush or fingers. Leave it on for a minimum of 15 minutes. This pack does not dry hard (since it is rich in moisture) and hence can be left on for as much time as you like. Rinse it off with plain water whenever you’re ready to take it off.

This face pack is great for people who cannot use greasy moisturizers due to acne and face dry skin at the same time. It can be used daily or alternate days or as often as you like.

Tip: Before jumping into your morning shower use this face pack. Leave it on till the end of your shower. In the end, rinse your face with water.

The above mentioned face pack can be used on the body too. Before your bath use the pack all over the body in case you want to de-tan or simply pamper yourself. When using the pack on the body use your hands to apply the same in a scrubbing kind of motion. Leave it on for a couple of minutes. Then rinse it off with water.

Moisturizing Bath

Use a body wash that contains a moisturizing element. The body washes we recommend using are:

Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash.

Use the body wash with a loofah. Using a loofah helps exfoliate dry skin. While taking the body wash on your loofah add a few drops of coconut oil on the same and then use it for bathing. By doing this you’re cleansing and moisturizing at the same time.
